DIARY OF OUR TRIP TO EDINBURGH

THURSDAY, by Ángel Ruiz and José Fuentes

In our opinion, this day was the saddest, because we were leaving the next morning. We got up at 7:45 and had breakfast as usual, then we got dressed and took the bus all the way to school. Actually, we loved the buses, with two floors, free Wi-Fi and free newspapers; so, when we arrived at school, Linsay the guide talked us about what we were going to visit this day, the “Dynamic Earth Museum”. We found this museum very interesting, because we learnt lots of things about the earth (The big bang, volcanos and some other stuff).   Our favourite place was a cinema room where we saw a 3D film in which we belonged to a flying crew and flew over a lot of landscapes. Afterwards, we went back to school to have lunch….well, to eat a sandwich, and then we played ping-pong and PS3 while we were waiting for english classes. This day, Cat was our teacher so we were looking forward to having classes. After classes we all went to Edinburgh city, bought some souvenirs and had dinner in a restaurant. When we arrived home, we talked to our host family, and thanked their kindness, we almost cry. All in all I think this experience has been the best ever, and we would repeat it infinitely, we recommend it.

OUR TRIP TO EDINBURGH

General impression about our trip to Edinburgh,

by Rocío García, Luis M. Vicente and Adrián Giménez

Edinburgh (or Edinburra -as Scottish people say- is a wonderful city, full of culture, history, good food, whisky and life. In the citiy it's always cold (too  cold), but people are warm-hearted, they'll help you whenever they can, and they will do it laughing and happily.

The trip has been a fantastic experience because we were living with a native person during a week there.  In general, all of us were very happy with our hosts. Maybe, at first it was strange not being in your own home with your parents, but at the end, they were your family there.

Regarding  Mackenzie School, we have to say that it is a great place to study English. There we did some activities in the mornings that were amusing and interesting, and, after having lunch, we also attended some classes which were less amusing and interesting than the activities. However, thanks to both we had fun and learnt about Scotland.

HALLOWEEN

Trick or treat! That is what every year we say in the middle of the Fall season. Halloween is coming back, and our hands are looking forward doing arts and crafts. We are excited and ready to enjoy painting frightening skulls, scaring ghosts, pretty and ugly witches, smiling pumpkins or nice skeletons (like our lovely Lady Gaggy and the Baby Skeleton  jejeje ).

Here you can see same pics from the 1ºB group showing their fantastic work in the Arts & Crafts class.
